Which gauge for which product?
LDPE bags have a strength that varies with the gauge chosen.

| 20 microns | Very light products (under 1 kg*) | T-shirt, socks, hairdressing items; bulky but light products to protect from dust |
| 30 microns | Light products (under 1.5kg*) | Granular products, household items, leather goods |
| 40 and 50 microns | Medium-heavy products (under 3 kgs*) | DVD player, electronic and electrical connectors, trousers, nails and screws |
| 100 microns | Heavy products (over 10 kgs*) | Office chair, painting, table, tools, industrial items |
| 150 and 200 microns | Very heavy products (over 20 kgs*) | Laptop, parasols, sand, granules, concrete in paste form |
